Student Activities, Social Life & Culture
Getting involved in British culture is an important part of learning English. That’s why we arrange a variety of activities and events.
We encourage all our students to take part because it’s an opportunity to improve your language skills, have fun and make the most of London.
Our social programme includes things like:
- Historical buildings
- Museums
- Attractions
- Cultural events
- Weekend excursions outside of London

The first of our January groups is leaving. We hope you had a fantastic time, and enjoyed London. Come back any time to learn English in London!
It may be cold, but at least the KAE students can catch up for a chat in the conversation class – this is an excellent chance to meet students at different levels and practise your English socially.
We’re back with a bang! Wonderful to see all the new students here and ready for the January peak.

Student Welfare
Our learners (16+) are treated as adults and are expected to look after themselves. However, we recognise that the experience of living and studying independently in another country can be challenging, and we aim to provide plenty of help and support. In addition to the initial feedback session in the first week, all our students have a tutorial with a teacher every six weeks to help with academic or general welfare. The Welfare Officer, Accommodation Officer, Social Programme Organiser, Director of Studies and College Manager are all available to help with any difficulties you may have or to give advice to make your stay with us as comfortable, enjoyable and productive as possible. The door is always open and we are here to help. There is also a 24-hour helpline for emergencies.
