Cambridge Exam Preparation
The University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations are internationally recognised Certificates. They are a reliable measure of your English language ability. ‘ESOL’ is short for ‘English for Speakers of Other Languages’. These qualifications can be useful if you plan to study or work in an English speaking environment or just want to improve your skill set.
We can help you prepare for the following popular Cambridge exams:
- FCE (First Certificate in English) (Cambridge First)
- CAE (Certificate in Advanced English)
These courses do not run all year around, so you must see our calendar below for information. If you are taking a KET (Key English Test), PET (Preliminary English Test) or CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) exam, you should take private lessons.
FCE and CAE courses last for 60 hours, split over three weeks. We recommend that students are at an upper level of English or above. Our experienced teachers will help you develop the language and exam skills required to do well in your test. If you are unsure which exam is right for you, please contact us and we will be able to advise you.
Some of the key areas covered in our courses are:
- Speaking, pronunciation and fluency;
- Grammar and how to use it;
- Writing skills for various situations;
- Knowledge of vocabulary;
- Listening and reading skills;
- An understanding of your Cambridge exam and the techniques required to do well; and
- Practice tests and mock exams.
